Gem Sacks

One factory, four connected apps.

Bag manufacturer based in Tirunelveli. We built a four-app factory-and-operations platform — admin, factory, marketing, and dispatch PWAs on one Firebase backend.

The situation

A bag manufacturer whose order-to-dispatch loop crossed four groups of people who each needed a different view of the same job — the office, the factory floor, marketing, and dispatch. One combined app would have been wrong for all four.

What we built

Four independently deployable progressive web apps over a single shared backend: admin, factory, marketing and dispatch. Each is scoped to its own role, so the floor sees production and dispatch sees dispatch, while the data underneath stays one system. Because they are PWAs there is nothing to install and nothing to push through an app store when something changes.

The lesson we kept

The production data model was reworked twice as the factory told us what actually happens. Rather than delete the superseded shapes we kept them clearly labelled and read-only, so historical records stayed readable instead of vanishing. Migrations that quietly drop history are how businesses lose their own past.
